Dr. Shanna Howze is a dedicated dentist with a passion for delivering top-quality advanced dental care, including crowns, veneers, implants, and clear aligners. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas State University before attending the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2020, where she honed her skills and expertise.
Dentistry runs in the family for Dr. Howze, as both her husband and father-in-law are also dentists. Together, they share a love for the profession and a commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements through continuing education courses.
Dentistry has been the most rewarding journey—she loves changing lives through a comprehensive “Mind, Body & Mouth” approach to oral healthcare. One of Dr. Howze’s favorite aspects of Howze Dental Group is caring for generational patients. From grandparents to their children and now their grandchildren, the practice has been part of families’ lives for decades—some going all the way back to when Dr. Scott’s father, Dr. Lee, first opened the doors. “It’s really special to see those connections continue,” she says.
Outside the office, you’ll find her running, crushing workouts at Orange Theory, skiing, or traveling. At home, she and her husband are proud pet parents to Winston (cat), Olivia (cat), and Marley (dog).
Dr. Howze is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association, where she contributes to the advancement of dental practices and standards.
